A LinkedIn friend from Spain, Anemarie, who I never met I real life before was in the Netherlands for work. On a whim, she messaged me to ask if Iād be free for a coffee. To her surprise, I said yes, and even invited her to my home.
We shared such a warm, thoughtful conversation in my garden, was a lovely warm evening. She told me that usually, she likes everything planned, but this time she was pushing herself to step out of her comfort zone. And she does that more and more, every day.
That courage to stretch, to risk, to say yes, itās exactly what this lesson from my Breath of the Dragon flipbook is all about:
š āImmersing yourself in unfamiliar environments sharpens adaptability - step beyond what you know and discover how far you can grow.ā
(From Chapter 8 of The Leadership Leap: Unplanted Seeds, where I explore how growth happens when we leave the familiar cave and let our wings catch the wind.)
Iām so grateful she took a chance on me. Because in that small leap, we both grew a little.
š¬ Whenās the last time you said yes to something outside your comfort zone, and what did it teach you?
