Walking away is not avoidance.

Sometimes, it’s leadership.

Sandra shared something simple, and deeply mature, about how she now handles conflict.

She knows she can be fiery. ❤️‍🔥🔥🔥🔥 OMG, I loved when she said this ❤️‍🔥

And instead of letting emotions snowball in the heat of an argument, she’s learned something quieter:

it’s okay to step away.

Not to disconnect.

Not to punish.

But to protect the conversation, and herself.

She also named a hard truth: not everyone is comfortable when someone comes back to a conversation later. But safety matters. And if pausing prevents words that can’t be taken back, it’s not weakness, it’s discernment.

Leadership isn’t about winning arguments in the moment.

It’s about choosing responses that don’t damage trust.

Sandra’s insight is a reminder that emotional regulation isn’t suppression.

It’s the courage to choose timing over impulse.

Sometimes the most powerful move isn’t saying more,

it’s knowing when to pause.
