Mine whispered:
š¤ āYouāll only be valued if you keep proving yourself.ā
š¤ āIf you stop holding everything together, it will all fall apart.ā
š¤ āYour worth depends on what you can give, not on who you are.ā
For years, I thought these were truths. They were the air I breathed, the ground I walked on. They shaped how I worked, how I led, even how I loved.
But hereās the thing: they werenāt truths at all.
They were chains.
And chains donāt let you fly.
š In The Leadership Leap, Chapter 11 (The Layers Within), I write about how leadership isnāt just shaped by skills, strategies, or personality. Itās shaped by the convictions buried deep inside of us. Some lift us higher. Others quietly drag us down.
Until we name them, until we loosen their grip, they keep us circling the same mountains, never soaring to the altitude weāre meant for.
š² Todayās dragon truth from Breath of the Dragon:
āSpot the beliefs that hold you backārelease them, and your leadership will gain new altitude.ā
A dragon cannot soar if it still chains itself to the stones of old fears.
š¬ Which stones are you still carrying?
What belief do you need to release before your wings can rise?
On September 25 in Utrecht, Iāll be reading this chapter live at my Book Launch & Live Coaching Experience, an evening to name the weight, release the chains, and step into the kind of leadership that finally feels free.
