One year ago, I was too afraid to post anything of real value on LinkedIn

💚 This message is not just for leaders but also for engineers who aim to create more impact, for those who feel they lack a voice, want to create waves but feel too shy, or are caught in the web of limiting beliefs.

It’s a call to all who wish to break free from the shadows and step into the light of their true potential.

In February 2023, I embarked on a journey guided by the wisdom of Laura in her accelerator course, where the essence of forging trust beyond my close circles was etched into my heart.

The challenge? To post regularly, to share my voice, my story, my truth.

🐲❤️‍🔥 The fear of judgment, criticism, and the unknown held me back. “Why would anyone listen?” I pondered, afraid of trolls and the potential for negativity. But Laura’s words were a firelight in the darkness: “Just do it!” So, I did.

The early days were a scramble - posting anything and everything, without a clear direction.

🖤 My audience grew, but it felt disjointed, lacking depth.

🐉 Enter Alice, who taught me the power of a brand manifest, grounding me in my values: trust, autonomy, authenticity, reliability, empathy, and respect. It was a declaration of who I am and what I stand for, yet something was still missing.

I lacked focus, strategy, and a connection to thought leaders who could elevate the conversation.

That’s when I crafted pillars that resonated deeply with me, focusing on leadership and coaching insights.

My content pillars:

🐲 The Way of The Dragon

1. Leadership and Coaching Insights

2. Professional Expertise and Innovation

3. Mindful Facilitation and Positive Impact

🐲 Empowerment for All

4. Empowerment and Liberation

5. Diversity and Inclusion

6. Neurodiversity and Advocacy

🐲 Embracing Your Dragon

7. Authenticity and Self-Improvement

8. Personal Growth and Reflection

9. Overcoming Life Traps

🐲 All

10. Thought-Provoking Conversations

🔥🔥🔥Yet, the challenge of daily content creation loomed large - until I designed a yearlong roadmap, a content plan rooted in my pillars, from embracing vulnerability to neurodiversity as a leadership advantage.

🔥 My current content sprint (Feb 12-Feb 25): The Power of Storytelling in Leadership

🔥 My next sprint: Building Trust in Remote Teams

🐉 This journey has been a metamorphosis—from fear to empowerment, from silence to a symphony of 7,850 voices.

My roadmap has not only given me focus but has allowed me to dive deep into conversations that matter, fostering richer, more meaningful dialogues.

Here’s What I’ve Learned:

❤️‍🔥 Consistency is Key: Your audience needs to know when and what to expect from you. It’s the bedrock of trust and engagement.

❤️‍🔥 Authentic Engagement: Real conversations matter. Comments often delve deeper than the posts themselves, fostering genuine connections and discussions.

❤️‍🔥 Foster Connections: I make it a point to visit the profiles of those who engage thoughtfully with my content. Over time, these daily interactions have built a community where we truly know and support each other.

❤️‍🔥 Be Unapologetically You: Whether you’re an engineer, leader, or dreamer, your profile is yours alone (not owned by your company). Leaders like Omar from AWS have shown me how personal branding can transform perceptions - not just of the individual but also of the organizations they represent. I used to be quite judgemental of AWS, but his being open, empathetic, and consistently offering valuable insights has shifted my perspective and build a bridge where there wasn’t one before.

🔥💪🏿 Just do it! Dive in, share your journey, and let your unique light shine. You’ll be amazed at the connections you forge, the community you build, and the impact you can have.

🐲💎🪽 Thank you to each and every dragon of my 7,850 followers for joining me on this incredible journey. Here’s to many more conversations, connections, and transformations. Together, we are unstoppable.
