Why dragons?
Because dragons are the ultimate symbol of power.
If you ignore your limiting beliefs, they can burn you alive.
But when you turn toward them, when you integrate with them, they fuel your leadership with magical power.
š² Donāt ignore dragons.
Great leaders learn to sit in the uncomfortable space of an angry dragon. To hold steady in the sick feeling of fear, anger, or doubt; long enough to make it to the other side. To speak mantras when the fire rises. To stay.
Because when you can face your inner dragons, you unlock energy and clarity that no title or process can give you.
And dragons are for everyone.
š Theyāre genderless.
šššš They can be any color.
ā¤ļøāš„ They symbolize the ultimate inclusion; every leader can find themselves in the dragonās flame.
On my own journey, dragons became more than a metaphor.
To me, dragons symbolize the pinnacle of authenticity and leadership, they are mighty yet introverted beings who thrive on bringing out the best in others.
I was born in the year of the fire dragon, a Chinese astrological sign of power, loyalty, and the instinct to protect whatās precious. Itās a fitting metaphor for leadership itself.
And my emblem doesnāt stop with dragons. It also carries:
š the koi fishās resilience,
š the Ting symbolās deep listening,
ā¤ļø the fiery heartās passion,
šø and the lotus flowerās beauty emerging from adversity.
Together, they symbolize what leadership really is: a multifaceted journey from first leap to lasting impact.
š¬ So let me ask: what dragon are you facing right now, and what fire might it give you if you stopped running?
š² On September 25 in Utrecht, Iāll be reading live from The Leadership Leap, signing books, and hosting (sponsored by iO) a live coaching evening together with Pascal and Maria where weāll practice facing our dragons, not with fear, but with courage, clarity, and compassion.
