The leaders I respect most can trace their path back to the people who saw their spark before they did and shielded it until it could burn on its own.
For me, thereās a long list.
My sixth-grade teacher, Mr. Melvin, who believed fiercely in my creativity.
My high school chemistry teacher, Mr. Abbot, who challenged my thinking and saw my potential.
Mentors like Sehaam and Michel, who gave me confidence in another way of leading.
Friends and colleagues who nudged me forward when I doubted myself, reminding me of my worth.
They werenāt just career guides.
They were protectors.
They planted seeds, belief, courage, and resilience, that grew into the leader I am today.
š Breath of the Dragon, Lesson 3:
āMentors and protectors give more than safetyāthey plant the seeds of the leader you can become. Seek them, value them, pass it on.ā
Every dragon is shaped by the elders who shielded their first flame.
š¬ Who planted a seed in your leadership journey? Tag them and tell them what their belief meant to you.
