Yesterday I shared Lesson 18, that dedication isnât burning out for the cause. Itâs showing up with alignment, energy, and care so you can go the distance without losing yourself.
But how do you actually sustain that kind of dedication?
đ Breath of the Dragon, Lesson 19:
âNourish yourself with what truly sustains youâsmall, steady rituals that keep your flame burning for the journey ahead.â
đ âA dragon who doesnât eat well flies lowânourishment is power.â
Dedication without nourishment is just another path to burnout.
Itâs like flying with wings that look powerful, but have no fuel beneath them.
In The Leadership Leap, Chapter 12: Fuel for Impact, I write about how nourishment often hides in the smallest choices:
đ§đžââď¸ The morning ritual that steadies your mind.
đ The people you surround yourself with.
đ The way you honor rest before collapse.
đ The food, reflection, or movement that fuels your fire.
These arenât indulgences. Theyâre what allow you to rise again and again.
Because the truth is:
đ¤ Dedication without nourishment is just erosion.
đ Dedication with nourishment becomes resilience.
đŹ Whatâs one small ritual you can claim today to keep your flame steady for tomorrowâs horizon?
đ˛ On September 25 in Utrecht, Iâll be reading live from The Leadership Leap, signing books, and hosting a live coaching evening sponsored by up where weâll together with Pascal and Maria explore how to fuel leadership in ways that sustain both the leader and the legacy.
